we 💗 Russell's Cottages -- such a gem! We have stayed there the past 2 summers and enjoy the Coastal beach house/Beata Heuman aesthetic, stellar views from the deck (many books have been read and coffees have been sipped here) and convenient location (I walk down to Fisherman's Daughter every day I'm there, to pick up dip and snacks!) Essentially everything in downtown GM is walkable from here and Julie and her family are great communicators with any questions/requests. Our stay at Russell's Cottages was outstanding. We enjoyed the well appointed cottage with its authentic log cabin design and a cozy fireplace that provides warmth and a romantic atmosphere. It was a wonderful place to retire to after a day enjoying Grand Marais and nature's spectacular sights. And we couldn't hope to meet a nicer family of owners and their helpers to keep everything tidy and in good shape. We hope to return and repeat again, and again.
