I have been a patient of Dr. Kocemba since 2011 when I moved from Michigan to Idaho. A better doctor will be hard to find -- in knowledge, research, attitude. Dr. Kocemba not only endeavors to take care of what ails me, he also cares about my general well-being. I consider myself lucky to be his patient.
Dr. Kocemba has been my family physician for at least 15 years and closer to 20 years. He is a true family physician and takes care of both my parents, me, and both my young children. I wouldn’t pick anyone else to care for my kids. When my dad, who can’t really communicate anymore, is sick he fits him in to the schedule and stays until all the tests are done. I have been a patient of Dr Kocemba’s for about 14 years and I think he is one of the best doctors you could have. He is very thorough and takes the time to listen. There have been times he has even called me on Sunday’s because he was reviewing things. You can’t find a better doctor! The front office staff could be a lot friendlier but he makes up for it.
He is really good doctor who seems to know what he is doing, if he is unsure he will refer you to a specialist who will know more. He is extremely hard to get an appointment with if you are sick and need to be seen the same day so he could be a great doctor but it doesn't matter if you can't get in to see him. He is often times running very behind (45 min) but I believe its because he is taking the time he needs to with each of his patients. Staff can be rude and uncaring for your issues.
I had the pleasure of working as Dr Kocemba's MA for almost 8 years. I will keep him as our family physician as long as he is in practice. Russ cares tremendously about his patients and does an exorbitant amount of work behind the scenes with case management. He is detail-oriented and thorough in his exams. He thoughtfully explains all medical decision-making to each patient so he can empower them to be true advocates for their health.
