I just paid $1339.18 for replacing my alternator. A simple remove-and-replace. $739.05 was labor! Yikes!! I looked up Kelly Blue Book for this repair - by a dealer - it gave a price range of $786 to $888 total (parts and labor). Double yikes!! I cannot recommend Russell Barnett for service: their quoted hourly rate is "$175 and up" (this is according to their service manager), which effectively means that they can charge whatever they want.
