Unbelievable!!!. I would never recommend this place. Brought our new kitten in for exam and shots. Scheduled boosters for 4 weeks later and get charged another exam visit, although that was not what I requested or scheduled. When I called to question this charge I was told this is their protocol! I think these people forget they are in the service industry. I have brought my dogs to Russell Animal Hospital on multiple occasions and have loved the service and compassion I have recieved. Dr Paine is a great doctor and really takes care of my dogs. The other vets I have seen treat my dogs as though they are their own! I have several friends who use them as well and they have all had equally positive experiences. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
I decided to use Russell Animal Hopsital to board my beagle for 2 nights. I had all of his current vaccinations faxed over from my regular vet. When I picked him up there was an extra $20 charge on the bill. I asked what it was for and the technician told me that they gave him a vaccine for kennel cough. They never asked my permission or gave me any notice that they would be giving him a vaccine. I felt that this was dishonest and seemed like a scam.
