Do not trust this guy. I gave him $7000 to start my case. I did all the legwork and brought him mountains of evidence. He showed up to our first hearing completely unprepared and brought up absolutely nothing relevant. Only thing he said about my ex was why she was wearing long sleeves to cover up her tattoos. He looked like a total idiot in the courtroom. I lost everything and when I fired him, I got sent another bill for $2500. $10,000 down the drain.
I'll share MY experience...I came to the Pelley office back in May of 2023. All I needed was a modification to a custody agreement. I paid $3,500. I was reassured several times, that as long as the ex doesn't fight back - I should be good. We went to court once. One time. And my ex never even showed up. Chip did file paperwork (obviously), but there was no debating, no mediation. Nothing. I was told to email everything over. So I did. Definitely would not recommend chip pelley to anyone. I paid $1500 down for a divorce he told me it would be started. It was partly done when things started working out between myself and my ex wife. His secretary told me to keep them in the loop. A month later a received an email for chip pelley telling my I needed to come up with $4500 in 5 days or he was dropping my case. Mr. Pelley and his team are the best. I found myself in a bit of trouble towards the end of 2023 and needed an attorney, I didn't know who to call or where to go.
