Came in around 9pm with excrutiating pain. At 5am, I still haven't seen a doctor and haven't been given any kind of meds. The staff working the front desk is incredibly disconnected and lack a sense of empathy, not to mention they don't give clear information. The facilities are disgusting, the bathrooms were both horribly dirty with walls being covered in unknown substances, there was also blood on the floor. Worst emergency room I've ever been to.
Horrible experience. Checked in and did my vitals and then proceeded to wait NINE HOURS. 9 hours waiting for someone to see me. I asked for updated regularly and was given ZERO information. Worst emergency room I have ever been to. Shame on them.
Do not come here if you’re looking for Emergency Care. The hours long wait to get a bed is one thing, but even when they bring you back you’re going to be waiting hours to get basic blood drawn and an IV put in.
Prepare for a long wait---unless you’re bleeding out or have something like COVID, you’ll likely be told “nothing is wrong” after 6–13 hours of sitting there. HIRE MORE PAs and DOCTORS TO WORK, IF THERE ARE THAT MANY EMERGENCIES THAT CAUSE LONG WAIT TIMES ! I honestly despise ERs, especially the one at Oak Park Rush!
