Horrible experience. 7 hours in the waiting with maybe 12 people waiting when i arrived,by the time I left because I got no help there were over 40 people. In those 7 hours only to 4 to 5 people got sent back to be seen out of the original 12. one of the patients said he had been there for 15 hours without being seen. I've seen so many commercials about how Rush is one of the best hospitals in Chicago and possibly one of the best in the country. with this experience I can safely say I would rather Go to county or Mt.Sinai wh... read more
👎 I recently had my second visit in three months to the emergency room at Rush Hospital on Harrison Street in downtown Chicago, and I was extremely disappointed. The conditions were appalling—filthy facilities, overcrowding that spilled into the lobby, and a clear disregard for patient health and safety. The staff’s attitude was disheartening, making an already stressful situation worse. I ended up walking out for the second time. I was visiting from out of town and had a issue that required surgery to remove my appendix. The ER team was great, got my pain managed and the care afterwards when I got the surgery was amazing as well! Thank you..
Still here after 5 hours and no treatment. Do not come here. Worst service I have ever seen.
Absolutely abhorrent service from this emergency room. I could have been dead in the room that they put me in, and no one would have noticed for the seven hours they had me waiting there with zero updates. Every time I asked the nurses what was going on, they were all just chatting and laughing with each other and cracking jokes, having a grand old time, while they were completely wasting mine and several other patients.
