I’m a leukemia. Patient and doctor would not give me prophylactic antibiotics because I have a history of c diff. So now I’m in the hospital with sepsis and CDF because he failed to provide me prophylactic antibiotics prior to treatment. We had a thorough discussion before my treatment about my concerns about this very scenario happening. The dental hygienist is top-notch. She gets an absolute A+, but the doctor would rather risk me going into the hospital in the ICU then give me prophylactic antibiotics. What a nightmare.
