The food was good, but the service needs improvement. No one checked on us or asked if we needed anything. What stood out most was that one of the employees was constantly on her phone in front of customers, which looked unprofessional. I've been to the Alexandria location, and the service there is always excellent, so I hope this location improves as well.
The food was very good and was reasonably priced! My entire table and I enjoyed it. We appreciated the convenient location of the Russian//Uzbek market next door. However, the service was slow and sometimes absent despite the restaurant being empty when we arrived.
The food was flavorful, but service could have been much better. I made reservations for 8:30 pm on a Friday night, and we felt rushed by our waiter the whole time because the restaurant closes at 10:00 pm. Staff weren’t friendly or welcoming. Overall, a pricey restaurant with mediocre service.
Was very excited to come to Rus Uz for the first time as Russian cuisine is very rare in the DMV let alone Uzbek cuisine. I love the abundance of sour cream with everything. The meat pirozhki and vareniki definitely hit the spot. Also had my first Borsch here and I was pleasantly surprised at how satisfying it was. The Plov was a bit underwhelming but okay. Would definitely return to try other menu items. They also had a very enticing drinks menu which I'm eager to explore. Glad I tried this spot out!
