The original family who lived at Runnymede were compassionate and courageous people who believed deeply in justice. During a time when helping enslaved individuals was dangerous, they opened their home and taught the children how to read, and offered support to those seeking freedom. Their bravery came at a cost. We went to Runnymede Venue last night for a wedding. It was an enchanting little spot in the middle of the woods. Despite the bad weather the venue was perfect and the staff were very friendly.
