Dr. Runnels is very sweet, but I did not feel properly cared for as a patient. I've suffered from pelvic pain for 2 years. My mother suffered from endometriosis, and when I began to experience the pain, I asked if it could endometriosis. The first thing asked was, "did you have a hard time conceiving?" And when I said no, I was immediately brushed off and told it was most likely not endometriosis. My sister missed an appointment and they banned her from the entire practice. Shes in severe pain from unknown causes but is terrified of seeing a gyno. I finally helped her build the courage into seeing the gyno and Dr. Runnels is the only gyno i trust and felt safe with so i know my sister would be okay there, And yet they refused to help. I understand policies and i apologize on her behalf for missing an appointment but no other practices are accepting new paients in sarasota right now, how will my sister get help? I recently returned to the area and was in need of a new OBGYN. Since I already see my primary care doctor at First Physicians Group, I decided to go through them for my OBGYN care as well. From the start, the receptionist and nurse were warm and welcoming. Before my exam, Dr. Runnels took the time to get to know me, understand my medical history, and address my needs. I'm fairly new to the area and had previously seen two other doctors prior to Dr. Runnels and I was completely mortified and turnt off by the way I was treated. I wanted to give up altogether but I couldn't because I still hadn't been able to ge to the bottom of my medical issues. I was referred to Dr. Runnels.
