We tried Rumhouse for the first time and were unfortunately left a bit disappointed. The decor is beautiful and the menu is so interesting and unique for the area, so we were definitely excited to check it out. But sadly the service just didn't quite live up to it, especially given the price. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our reserved table, which wasn't a huge deal to us as we went to the bar to wait. We made our first visit to the Rum House for my wife’s birthday. It was a wonderful evening from beginning to end. The owner, Ed, greeted us personally and shared the story of the restaurant. He was a fantastic host. Our waiter, Ian, took good care of us all evening, offering recommendations and seeing to our every need. The decor is beautiful, and atmosphere is welcoming. Our server Ian was fantastic and the bar drinks br Woodrow were delicious. Great service, fantastic presentation and delicious menu.
A must try - food, service atmosphere with a welcoming Caribbean vibe. We started with drinks on the back deck while the sun set then enjoyed dinner outdoor on the porch. Recommend highly the lamb, scallops, gumbo and bread pudding dessert. Our server was Elena - she took great care of us!
A gem of a restaurant just off the beaten track of Eastport’s restaurant row. Wonderful Caribbean dishes; try the ones you don’t recognize! Our server Ian and maître d’ Dee were terrific. (Great cocktails too, and 93 rums on the list!)
