Our family just placed my Mom at the Rumford Community Home in the North Unit this summer. It was a very emotional transition for all of us. The staff at RCH are amazing! They helped us all ease into this change and showed us everyday their heart felt compassion for each resident. They helped us trust and feel like family each day. Our Mom spent several years living alone after our Dad passed away. She was not thriving any longer. She was losing her ability to communicate. I cannot speak highly enough about this building here in our community. The level of care that the staff brings to the residents is a model for how senior housing should be run. Frankly, I would love to invite all of the other facilities in the state on a day trip to observe what goes on in this building. The residents aren’t just laying in the bed. I had to place my uncle here after being diagnosed with dementia, he seems happy and well cared for. The food smells really good. They seem to take a personal interstellar in him and his interests. Hes always clean and all the residents always seem very happy. Never once have a been there and seen an unhappy patient. And theybare very Informative when I ask questions about this disease. My cousin has been in long term care for some time and has received very attentive care. Her parents and siblings are gone so the Rumford Community Home is her new family. She is very content. Thank you~
