Coworkers of mine talked this place up when I said I'd be in the area running errands. Atmosphere would have been impressive in about 1960 and there was an odd smell in the dining area. Got two sandwiches for my crew and a mostaccioli, which last I checked is supposed to be a hearty - stick to your ribs - kind of meal, but this came out more closely resembling a beverage or a soup because it was so runny. I have been coming to this location my entire life and my father has been coming here for decades before me. This place is a St. Louis Classic and should be a legally required visit to those coming to St. Louis for the first time. Their Gerbers are amazing, but their other menu choices are excellent as well. The staff has always been friendly and I am always happy to see them when I dine in.
