The accommodations in Terlingua are all unique and very different. We stayed in Mama Fu's here at the Ruins which was a boat and an RV connected by a covered deck. With five people, it was a super unique spot. The boat is probably good for one adult and a child while the RV can do three or four adults/ kids. Showers and bathrooms are shared, which we knew ahead, but they are very nice and also unique. The complex was very quiet at night and has beautiful sunset views along with stargazing. Absolutely loved our stay here. The location is close to the Ghost Town, even walkable if you wanted to. But it's just far enough you get to enjoy the magic of the desert without the noise and lights of the ghost town. The dark skies are so spectacular, and the coyotes howl every night. We woke up to bird songs in the morning, and a roadrunner ran by while we were having coffee! The view of the Chisos is complemented by stunning sunrises and sunsets, all from the property.
