Cool place for hiking. Fishing was really slow.
Absolute trash. The rangers burned up 20 gallons of gas driving trucks around and driving a boat full speed across the lake for zero reason. 2 boat reservations for the day and 4 ranger pickup trucks driving relentlessly around the property who don't wave and seem annoyed you would even spend the day there. Overpriced, over controlled.
Gorgeous location, "only" $10 to visit, but painful to register ahead, and for some strange reason they didn't put a nice parking lot on the flats down by the shoreline, forcing you to dump your boat and walk up and down a ways. Otherwise they do a good job, and it's a lovely lake on which to paddle, with very little trash. Be sure to check out the scenery from the viewpoint on top of the hill too.
Best place for paddle boarding . No worries about boats!
Fishing was good. Could use improvements for acess for disabled.
