I hired David Ruegg to prepare and complete a QDRO for my CalSTRS retirement benefits. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Took his time. Will ignore you,/ghost you and bully you. Took his time on a simple QDRO, - DO NOT HIRE HIM.
Update: I do not believe David even sent my QDRO to the processing company. 2 months later I got my own copy, mailed it with tracking and it was processed within a day so 7 days total vs their almost 8 weeks and nothing happened. Ho hum. Do not, I repeat DO NOT use this company for QRD services. They were paid thousands for QDRO services and I experienced months of delays, ignored calls, unanswered emails, and repeated failures to complete a basic task. No one answers the phone. Voice messages were never returned. Communication is inconsistent at best. When I complained, I received a disgusting email from David talking to ME like I was a child and accepting no responsibility. Also saying they would be ignoring any future correspondence. Rudest lawyer I've ever encountered. Do not waste your time! After 6 months of nothing in QDRO and randomly blaming me for putting it on hold because I apparently made a call to their office to put it on hold. When I asked for court order for the hold, he "resumes it". When I asked him what has been done so far, he said "your problem will be handled and we're done talking" and hangs up on me. Very dismissive. I'm not sure how they allow him to practice still. From the reviews, it's apparently not just my experience with him.
