Hands down best BBQ in Colorado! Be prepared for a line that may even be out the door...it moves fast and is totally worth the wait. They even catered my wedding...look forward to going every time I'm in the Springs!
This is a great spot for good and satisfying meal with friends or when on the go. Old fashion atmosphere, perfect for a quick taste of Texas BBQ with all the fixings. Delicious sausage and brisket. Good value.
Love Rudy's!! – Love going here, but its always really slow getting your food. It much better during the week when its less busy. I hate having to yell over everyone to give the guys in the back my order. The pork loin is great!
Texas BBQ at its Best – Rudy’s Country Store & BBQ (Rudy’s) off of 290 is a favorite for Houstonians and a great spot for any non-Texan who wants to experience Texas barbecue at its best. When you pull up to Rudy’s you’ll notice that there’s a gas station, but the restaurant is far from any type of food you would expect when making a pit stop for gas. Rudy’s uses wood-fired pits fired. Any pre-conceived notion that barbecue is chicken and ribs slathered with thick sticky barbecue sauce cooked on a grill will be completely di... read more
Very Overrated – Our first and last visit. I ordered a baked potato with beef. The small potato was passable (at best), but the beef was not recognizable. It was scooped from a slop can and must have been several days old. Fixings were very limited, small, and prepacked. Save your time and money and go somewhere that is not living on a worn out reputation!
Far but worth it – After starting a new job on the Northwest side of Houston, I was craving a decent barbecue that was not far from work. I was looking for a place that I could travel to on my lunch break to get some delicious sausage, brisket, ribs, or chicken without having to drive out towards San Antonio or Austin. I had tried Rudys after I went to San Marcos last summer and instantly fell in love with it. The smokey flavor, the ambiance of the place, the fact that it not only is a restaurant, but also a gas station/gene... read more
Best food ever – This location is great. Always great food and service. If I could only have one fast food place in the world this would be it. A ton of Texas charm and a huge grass area in the back to lounge on a nice day. Gas is stupid expensive but the just don’t buy it here.
dissapointing – I am a fan of the Rudy's in Austin, so i was thrilled when they opened up here. This was so disappointing, they seem to have serious problems keeping the brisket at proper temperature, it is cold when you get it. There is no noticeable difference between the dry and moist trims. The sausage portions are misleading and overpriced. The staff seems bored and not as lively as in Austin. Guess i will continue taking road trips to Austin instead of eating here.
DIdnt know they had one in Spring ... Try it when you go to San Antonio – You know I love the one in San Antonio... I didn't even know they had one here, in Houston. from the reviews, I am glad I didn't . I have to say though, when people work here in Houston, they don't give a hoot which could ruin anything . There is another one open on 290 north before the beltway..
