As someone who grew up in Little Jamaica (aka East Flatbush/Brownsville Brooklyn) this food is as close to authentic as I’ve ever gotten living in Southern California for the past 5 years. The most “unauthentic” part of the experience was the friendly and polite cashier at the register. IYKYK The staff were super nice, the food took about 10 minutes and it was delicious. I wanted to try something new for dinner and found Rude Jerk Chicken in my area on Maps and gave it a try. The cashier was very nice and helpful. Small eating area but most customers were takeout anyways. I wish I had known about this place sooner. I got the Curry Chicken, side of fried plantains, festival bread, and Banana pudding. OMG! Can't believe how great this food was. They also was kind enough to give me samples cause it was my first time...I ordered the Oxtails for myself, jerk chicken plate for my daughter, my son had the curry goat plate and beef pattie and my wife had the veggie plate ...and let me tell you it was plenty and outstanding! I will be back weekly!
Delicious oxtail, peas and rice! Very much worth the price!
