Not all it's hyped up to be – Been to this place a few times, each time it was 80% guys and no one really looked like they were having fun. The crowd is really hit or miss, and if you go make sure you check to see which DJs are there because your experience will really vary based on who's playing that night. The best part of the club isn't the dancing, but rather going to the back room and smoking with your friends. But the $20 cover is still pretty steep for the city.

User review by kingkami – I was here when Mykonys was spinning and the party was just AWESOME! The doorman even gave me free drink vouchers when he found out I was in the Army. I recommend coming here when a big name is spinning cause when I went the previous night it just wasn't quite as jumping. Strong drinks (albeit expensive) and a lack of sitting space ensure that you're kept dancing. I also love how the club is a madeover theater!

Pure Bridge and Tunnel – This place has all the makings of a great club. Reminiscent of east and west coast clubs in the 80's that lived in converted theaters this place could be magnificent. But it's not. The crowd is pure B&T and the management caters to them accordingly. Sure, they bring in the big names but try dancing to Nick Warren and Way Out West on the piddling sized dance floor while tripping over the purse collection discarded by groups of spurious out-of-towners. What a complete waste of a great space. This is no... read more

Great Celebration – I celebrated my birthday here last year and have gone back many times afterward. It is always fun there and staff is always polite and accommodating. I like that they always have guest DJ's and other fun events.

the house scene is dead – ruby skye is a cool venue as a space, but all they play is house music - they've done like one hip hop night on the weekends, otherwise, it's all house. the scene is dying, and from the looks of things, so is the ruby skye crowd. they feed off of the tourism in the union square area... mos def was there last year, that was off the hook; but alas, that was on a tuesday/wednesday. they need to bring a consistent hiphop weekend night then it would be a cool spot

Had a Fantastic Time! – I loved this place. I went with a co-worker while we were in town for a convention and we had a blast. It was all techno music all night long and the dance floor was packed with all sorts of people. Sure it was crowded and loud but everyone was having a great time. There is a special smoking lounge upstairs with a pool table and a dj all its own. Then you can be on the balcony upstairs overlooking the dance floor as well. The entire place was laid out well, I thought, and plenty of room to dance. Not ... read more

A polished crowd flocks to this downtown palace for its fusion of clubby and loungey atmospheres. – The Scene Ruby Skye owner George Karpaty has opened a see-and-be-seen club for those who are, in his words, "grown-up, make money and dress nice." Like the clientele, every aspect of the club is detailed and maxed-out plush. Stained-glass portraits circa-1814 highlight the club's decor while maintaining an old-school flavor. (The place once housed the historic Stagecoach Theatre.) The lighting system casts an oceanic effect on... read more

horrible – i am never coming back again....i mean NEVER...security is rude, straight power trip...hassled the hell out of me for ID. They just wanted to hold up the line to make it look like theres a large crowd. I finally get in there and i see little girls. People talk about the security at 1015 having a power trip this place is 10 times worse. to top things off there was barely an alcohol in the pricey drinks
