Ordered take out, they had shut the place early and made us wait outside for the order even though we had placed it half an hour before. Forgot our coffee and made us wait outside in the cold another half hour. They got our order wrong and the bagel was chalky. Skip it.
I really wanted to 5 star this place, but I have a big pet peeve when it comes to explicitly asking for something and getting something else. I ordered a double lox everything bagel with NO CAPERS to go. But there were capers all over it. After spending the time to dig all of the capers out, the bagel itself was great. So while I'll give the food and atmosphere a 5, I'm dropping the service to a 1. Good location, friendly staff, good bagels -- its just overpriced. Still, I do think they make fresh, tasty meals. Unfortunately, my recent experience had quite a skimpy amount. It's one of those things that I truly believe would just be cheaper to make at home.
Updated review... Went down hill fast. Bagels have gotten super salty over time(consistently salty across multiple visits, not natural variations), then they recently cut the bagel options in half and dropped poppy. Will be finding a new bagel shop instead.
Super rude cashier who was visually frustrated and took that out on all customers in line and myself due to being understaffed.
