Great setup, but very low quality service and blurry picture on the TV screen to watch the World Cup. It's unlikely that this joint will grow and prosper so long as the management fails to understand the importance of hiring bartenders who can engage with customers quickly, rather than behaving in a tribal way that prioritize her known customers or those she happens to have an affinity for.
We had a really uncomfortable experience here that honestly left me jarred. The server was so directly rude it made me nervous to be there. At first I believed she was just having a bad day but when I saw she was treating other customers differently I was confused because I had only just arrived and had not acted in a way that warranted that kind of response. This this was a solid go-to even before the facelift and sports bar upgrade. Now there are lots of TVs and they’re usually playing anything you’d want to watch, and open atmosphere is a delight. The pizza is top notch (and not just by “well, it’s Loudoun” standards), though I recommend ordering a hoagie from the pizzeria next door while dining in the sports bar side.
