Hi, I cannot recommend NOT using Ruliving enough. They are truly the biggest scam at Rutgers; falling apart houses, insect infestations they never take care of, the refusal to help with any problems, charging for everything and literally charging my house over a thousand dollars in water bills for a single month and when we pointed out how wrong it was, they took three weeks to fix our water, and charged us late fees despite telling us we didn’t need to pay until the water bills was sorted. Most overpriced and scammy complex, compared to every other apartment the rent here is insane for 0 amenities and a room the size of a shoebox, on top of this move out the will surprise you with many many move out charges which if you don’t pay they will threaten to send you to collections. What a predatory place.
Aside from the small treats you get as a resident, like candy at halloween and pizza during finals, this housing company falls short to aid in real matters. Separate leases is so convenient until someone doesn’t pay and then it becomes your problem or it’ll go to small claims court. They claim they’re so communicative and the lease follows helpful rules, but when your room mate is making you live in hell (with proof of breaking the lease) suddenly this communication takes days and fbi type evidence is required for any action... read more
