As a past volunteer, I feel a moral need to share with the public the issues that many volunteers (including myself) have experienced when working with RRR. I do NOT recommend this organization to others-- donors, volunteers, partners, schools, and sponsors alike. I have volunteered with many orgs for different causes (community welfare, education, mental health) and have never experienced anything this unprofessional and misleading. Super easy and convenient to donate an old machine for a good cause. Great communication in email and no-hassle touch-free pickup. Got old computers that match what they'll take? Donate to RRR!
Found this group by doing a local search for places to donate laptops and I was very happy to have found them. Quick response and they were great to come pick up the laptops I had donated. They made it really easy to do a really good thing. Thanks RRRComputer!!!
Found out about RRR when researching where I could donate an almost brand new computer. Found them to be prompt to respond, available for me to drop off the computer in either Oakland or SF. Eventually I just mailed it as that worked better for my schedule, but they confirmed receipt immediately and were helpful in finalizing the paperwork.
I first found out about RRRComputer through word-of-mouth at a festival near my home in the East Bay. After looking further into their work, I feel that they are an incredible local organization providing access to technological literacy, protecting the environment from unnecessary e-waste, and, most importantly, helping to educate Bay Area youth at a time when they need it most. I was glad to be able to donate my old laptops to them so that they can put them to use with kids who need them.
