Once again, a stand-out performance by the Marina Team - Manager Glen Scott, Assistant Manager, Dave Clifford and Hard Stand Champion Shane could not have been any more helpful, skillful or charming in assisting us with bringing a large replacement dinghy alongside the main ramp pontoon and helping with our deflated Highfield tender. The food and service is fantastic. I regularly eat here and have not been disappointed.
The place is very nice and cozy. The food was decent (the risotto I ordered, in my opinion, was slightly undercooked), but unfortunately, the service was very poor for a sophisticated place with these menu prices. All the waitstaff seemed undertrained: not only did they mix up our orders, but there was also a lot of unprofessionalism when serving the starters, which were brought to the table without plates or cutlery. Lovely outlook for an afternoon coffee or lunch
The quality of the food has really dropped off. The fish that used to be snapper has been swapped for what they now claim is cod, but it tastes exactly like thawed-out flake; bland, watery, and clearly not fresh. It’s nowhere near what you’d expect from proper cod, and it shows in both the texture and the flavour.
