The staff (exluding Ann) in Royal Oldham Hospital pre op don't follow the 7 step handwashing technique, and do not wear gloves or apron as per policy when taking blood. A cursory 3 second rub with alcohol does not count when it comes to invasive procedures. I wonder how many patients have aquired an infection through their failure to follow policy.
