Buyer Beware!Please read all reviews before purchasing from Mattamy. I purchased a home and there were SEVERAL issues that are under warranty that I've dealt with. I have put my job in jeopardy due to the number of times I have had to stay home for a repair technician. This is a brand new home with new appliances yet the issues I have dealt with are unacceptable. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS BUILDER!!!!! We built a home with them and saw issues from the start, but were told theyd fix it, but they hid/covered it rather than fix. Even during selecting phase, items I selected for the home were later discontinued but they should have found or let me select similar items to the items I had initially selected and paid for, but of course they didnt. DON'T BUY FROM THIS BUILDER!!! After having their contract reviewed by 2 attorneys from 2 different firms, the contract does NOT protect the consumer. If your LOAN is DENIED, they will still hold your DEPOSIT!!! Even if they make upgrades and sell the HOME, they still want your deposit!!!! The management team and sales consultant made countless mistakes during the process. The pre-approval was on thin ice from the start but they made it look good for the contract. 3 minutes ago Buyer beware!! The sales person misrepresented the millage/tax rate in Duval county. They said it was comparable to St Johns county when in fact was much higher than St Johns county. We confronted management and requested our hefty deposit back and they refused! We'll never do business with Mattamy homes again! Steer clear of this builder! They will tell you anything to sell you a house.
Mattamy Homes currently has my deposit held hostage with no projected completion date for my home at this time. We have been waiting four months for ground breaking, after initially saying that our home world be ready a year from the initial job order date. The representative now has no idea of when the home will be complete and keeps moving the ground break date later and later. Mattamy Home Builders are the worst! From warped ****** Board siding, cracked tub and luxury vinyl plank flooring that is coming up. They have little or no concerns for the buyer after taking your deposit. I had a professional home builder inspect my home and he presented a very detailed long list of issues from the start. At closing he had just as many if not more issues to address.
