UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT RECOMMENDED!!! Royal Moving and Storage Company was hired to provide “fully bonded and insured professional moving services” including quilt pad wrapping the furniture per Contract. While moving, the items were not handled with care, none of the furniture was quilt-pad wrapped, items were piled on top of each other, and the crew used their feet kicking the furniture and TV to cram the items into the elevator. Shawn gave me a quote and said it was before military discount. Everything sounded good. A few days before the move, the owner Sonny called to confirm. He said I would not be getting the military discount at that price. He refused to honor the price and canceled my move knowing I would not be able to get anyone else that quickly. I used Royal to move my furniture and concert grand piano from Pennsylvania to J'ville in 2017. They promised me that they were 100% professional piano movers and moved pianos such as mine everyday. The piano was a huge priority for me because it would cost 100k to replace it. The piano was properly mounted onto a heavy moving board for support and safely wrapped and protected. when I called inquiring about their prices I was told if I could do it the following day which would’ve been a Saturday he could have two guys out and they would do it for $225 flat rate no other fees and I asked and I was very clear when I said there are no other hidden fees I need to know about and he said no ma’am 225 the next day when the movers get out there they show up they have two people with them only when I told him I had very heavy furniture not only did they destroy the side of my mattress moving it they also da... read more

Terrible service & terrible morals/ethics. My best friend hired this company to help her move. She’s a 5’1” single mom w/ a college age daughter who is also petite. #1 they didn’t start w/ the big items. #2 at the end of their 2hrs they just LEFT! She still needed her couch delivered to the 4th FLOOR! 2 strong “men” (I use the term men, loosely) who were hired to do the job LEFT, didn’t finish the job in time, so they left 2 small women to move the couch by themselves to the 4th FLOOR! Antoine, Travis, and Angel were the best movers I’ve ever had. The were professional, accountable and took pride in their work. They worked together well as a team, and cared for my furniture as if it were their boss’. They arrived on time, worked through lunch, and finished the job in a very reasonable amount of time.

John and Adam were on site at exactly the time we were quoted. They did an absolutely great job moving all our belongings to our new home. Unloaded and unwrapped everything and placed it where we wanted. If I ever move again it will be with Royal.

hire professional movers who care for and know how to handle furniture and boxes. Also, after all the issues we had, the drivers had a car accident which delayed us by over hour, etc...someone from the company should have called us to apologize for all the issues and compensate us in some way. There is no customer care.
