Great iconic yacht club. Great for school holiday programs to get the young ppl outdoors and sailing and learning independence

I don’t recommend this sailing club, careful, not safe! - My teenage son had two concussions (one of them serious), the trainers just laughed it off…
I was a a training member at RMYS for half a year and loved it! Welcoming community open to everyone, no matter the skill level. A lot of social events and opportunities for sailing. Beautiful building with long history and space for events. Direct contact with experienced sailors, who treat you as an equal. One disadvantage is that sailing courses often get cancelled last minute (often due to independent weather conditions). Highly recommend joining weekly races and learn by practice!
