The officer considered it urgent enough to blue-light me straight to the hospital, blowing through red lights to get me there quickly. The worst! Waited 9 hours and didn’t even see a junior doctor. Receptionist keeps saying they are busy. While we can see them chilling.
Arrived about 11 am last Friday with my husband, suspected ongoing heart attack, had phoned 111 And came by car as didn’t want to wait for ambulance, he was seen to immediately and all the staff were amazing, from receptionist I spoke to for him, the healthcare assistant, nurses , technicians, right through to drs who organised his transfer to heart and chest hospital,( and fantastic ambulance crew) by 4 pm he had been in for angiogram and had stents in his artery. Staff were nice enough . Waiting room is tiny , not enough seats for people , patients vaping in the corner by vending machine and the whole area is dirty with random blood splats everywhere. ED waiting times never update said waiting time is 10 hours for about 3 hours now. No on site parking and the closest one is owned by one of the most expensive companies in England “Q park” where it’d be cheaper to fly to another country than park there.
