Good pub across from CP. Average prices for an outback town. Staff and locals friendly
Looking forward to supporting a local pub for dinner and drinks. People gave us the thumbs up walking out. I was ready to enjoy a delicious country pub meal. We ordered crumbed steak, rissoles with vegies chips and gravy. gravy was iced cold. Dinner Luke warm to cold. Sent it all back......came out again and nearly burnt my hand on the plate. The only food available on the Saturday night we stayed was pizza, because the cooks had gone to the Mount Isa rodeo (I don’t blame them). We stayed in Room 2. The room wasn’t ready at 2pm. The smoke detector was missing. The door had been kicked/shoved damaging the lock. It was very difficult to close and not particularly secure. But the worst thing about the place was all the rubbish lying around. The place is a tip. One of the car parking spaces had a pallet load of old and new air conditioners stored in it.
