My doctors referred me to outpatients to have a blood test done. I went around 8am Wednesday morning, it was very quiet, I waited about 15 minutes. The lady on reception was welcoming and polite. The nurse that did my bloods was Lesley, she was lovely. It was painless and quick. Lots of parking spaces on the grounds to.

Shocking how bad Royal Gwent has become, looks like 3rd world hospital inside. ~ Poor house keeping, ~ no main reception (shutters down / locked up), ~ extremely difficult finding your way inside!! ~ parking is ridiculous ~ mixed opinion on staff. Lady scanning my eyes was not confident at her job and didn't seem thorough. Her colleague had to tell her what to do. My local opticians were far superior than the Royal Gwent.
Good hospital. Disgusting parking. Had to queue up for 90 mins for a spot during visiting hours. Disgusting.
