I broke my dominant wrist whilst walking my small dog on the 30th December 2025. I am 73 and by myself! Very kind man took me up to the Royal Brisbane Hospital Emergency section at around 6.00pm the reception staff could see I was in extreme pain and my wrist was swelling by the minute. 2 people sitting next to each other asked the exact same questions barely looking at me then told me to sit in the waiting room. Was in for day surgery (with overnight stay). After going home, had a minor concern so went back. At every level, from Admissions through pre-op, surgery and post-op care to final reassurance, the efficiency, understanding, caring and care cannot be praised more highly nor appreciated more greatly. Everyone who works in a hospital—especially a huge, incredibly busy public one—deserves our gratitude and respect. I think everyone at the RBWH is wonderful, thank you all.

A nice clean place,with much better meals than 20 years ago.I even had crasount and eggs for breaky.check out was a easy,Transit lounge was a comfortable waitng area whilst waitng for medications to turn up.
