On holiday in area and called into the UTC today with my mother as I was concerned about a wound on her leg. Excellent service, from start to finish. Ed Meekers (Nurse practioner) and Leslie (HSA) gave excellent care and kept us informed of what was happening.

Staff were kind. But after six hours of sitting in uncomfortable chairs and told to wait yet another two hours we gave up and went home like several other people. We have had exceptional treatment in the various departments but this was torture. Plenty of obs taken but clearly not enough doctors. Even being Saturday night it didn't appear to be busy. The staff must feel awful letting genuinely ill people choose to go home untreated and in distress or pain.

Brought our daughter in with a severe spreading rash to be made to do the stupid tablet thing and then to be told oh you can see the gp here in 3 hours our daughter is really poorly and they acted as if they couldn't care less appaling

Absolutely dreadful experience on Monday night through to Tuesday morning. Uncaring triage from disinterested staff who brought out one name to call, if that person had left or been seen they went back to their room to get the next name, slow and thoughtless. Tiny, hot, overcrowded waiting area full of sick and injured all crammed together. Having a sickness and diarrhoea virus and being dehydrated and weak I sat apart from others so as not to spread germs, my chair was taken away when I went to be triaged. I got another one... read more
