Cave access controlled by QPWS for safety and preservation of the caves. Tickets avail from the hub in town, which also has a good history display of the area. Lots of paths and caverns to explore depending on the tour. Lighting depends on provided torches. QPWS Guide was knowledgeable.
Beautiful place! Just make sure to park the car at the designated parking area. Our navigations on maps were slightly off and wanted us to drive down a very small road, where we got stuck in mud. Luckily, we met a really nice guy, who could tow our car free. We drove a bit further and found the actual parking area. We tried to go without a guide, which was a big mistake, since the caves were closed off, so we only got to see a fraction of it.
