I got in trouble about ten years ago and my parents sold my car and came up with this guy. An attorney friend referred them to him because he was "connected". He was very condescending toward me, he never showed up in court on time (which of course infuriated the judge) and the end result was exactly the same sentence I would have gotten with no attorney at all (a free public defender). Got my services done for a good price. Puts on a good show in the courtroom and saved my arse.
I have personally seen Mr.Burns in the courtroom and can honestly say he would be on the top of the list of who I would want representing me. The guy flatout can try a case.
DON'T HIRE THIS LAWYER! Roy Burns took our money and then did nothing for 8 months. He did NOT show up in court which resulted in warrants being issued for my brother while he was in ICU at a local hospital, filed NO motions, got NO discovery from the DA, and would NOT return calls or e-mails. And, when we did get him on the phone, he did NOT remember who we were. BUYER BEWARE!
Roy Burns is a great attorney. He worked very hard on my case and showed up to court . I would definitely recommend him.
He took money from my boyfriend and I. Refused to see my boyfriend while he was in jail. He stated he would see him the morning of court. When the morning of court came, Roy Burns was nowhere to be found. After court my boyfriend still had no idea who his lawyer was because he never even introduced himself! On top of that, when we contacted the circuit clerk's office, we found out Roy Burns did not even represent my boyfriend, a public defender did!!!! I gave this guy a LOT of money to help me with some trouble I got in as a kid. He was the least professional lawyer I ever dealt with. He didn't even show up in court most of the time and could never remember my case. I would literally have to go find him and remind him what was what. End result: I should've gotten a competent and professional attorney. I got a very harsh sentence. A public defender would have accomplished the same result much more efficiently.
