I stop here frequently on my travels. The view is one of a kind. The atmosphere is peaceful and majestic.
It's pretty windy out here in late April. Nice flowers blooming and you can't go wrong with a hiking up to the McCall Point Trail. There is no restroom on the trailhead :) Better use the 'tree restroom'
We drove from Portland and got Sub Sandwiches in Hood River then drove up to Rowena on hwy 30 to see The Spring Wildflowers Blooming! Perfect Afternoon Trip!
great view of the river. Did the hike at the trailhead across the street made for a nice evening hike
