What a pleasure to work with Route 66! Alex was kind, helpful and honest. I paid for a PPI on a car I was interested in purchasing in IL. I am from CT and had never bought a car from another state like this. Alex did the PPI, completed the report and sent over pictures of any issues he thought needed attention. Route 66 is the best mechanic shop in the area. Ali at the front desk is very nice, knowledgable, and professional. The mechanics do great work, they are upfront and fair with the pricing for repairs and parts. I have taken my two vehicles over 10 times here and will always come back for any small or large repairs.
I was quite disappointed. It was a real challenge to get someone on the phone, or to get a follow up return call. And I got sticker shock. Had my battery replaced. $130 for the new battery. plus $70 for labor. What?! $70 DOLLARS? To remove and replace a battery? C'MON oh well. live and learn. But the kids working there are pretty nice.
Raphael is wonderful! My cars tire blew out on me and I didn't have a spare and they were the closest auto shop nearby. They didn't have my tire in stock but he let me borrow his car to go pick up the right size tire nearby so I wouldn't have to drive on the rim/Uber to go get it. Ended up popping it on and made things so seamlessly easy. Extremely recommend if you want a mechanic that actually cares about their customers!
