More than meets the eye. The place has awesome staff, they know what they have and what you need, they are not flipping burgers then telling you haw to install a light switch, this is their profession, they know it. Selection is great they have way more than you think packed into that place, and the prices are more than fair. Not get you through the door and gouge on what you really need like the box stores. A gem that makes Westerville what it is "Crow's Nest" for an employee to direct you where you need to go as you get through the door. I jokingly say "they have one of everything", which is true 90% of the time. I have shopped there since Shrock road was two lanes (25 years ago) and the town was dry. I shop with my dog on leash and I am not asked to leave (as long as she behaves). They are employee owned which means good service is a MUST in the era of the big box stores. I NEVER have trouble finding help.
Great Store They probably charged you a restocking fee because you destroyed the packaging ;-)
Terrible service The service here was lacking. Since their store is so packed with junky "toys," it is hard to find real tools. So I needed some directions and basically everyone ignored me. I did eventually get helped by someone named Rick, who treated me very poorly. I was looking for a sawzall and since I am petite, a woman and slightly older, he basically told me I could not operate the tool. I felt terrible and walked out of the store. They did not make me feel welcome or that I had a right to be in their store.
Overpriced and condescending Service was very condescending. I did not know exactly what I was looking for and was made to feel as though I should not have been asking questions. When I did find my item and purchased it, I compared it to my local "big box" home improvement store and the price I paid was 20% more!!! I tried to take the item back and was told I would be charged a "restocking fee." Be careful!!!
Everything You Want I've been shoping Roush Hardware for years. They have parts that your major hardware stores don't carry. There is someone waiting as you walk in to guide you in the right direction to the item (s) your looking for. Family oriented environment with a knowledgable staff.
Neighborhood Store with Neighborhood Feel Don't expect a Lowe's or Home Depot, however you do find friendly knowledgable service, quality material, and a neighborhood environment. They're there to help you out as much as they can.
When you have a question, too. If you just need a box of screws or a tube of caulk, go to the big box mega store. If you have any question about which screw or caulk you need, come here. The prices are fair, but not the lowest. Their selection is amazing, but they don't have 65 brands of each tool. Their strength is the friendly, most knowledgeable and most helpful staff anywhere.
An Old Time Hardware Store This is your typical old time hardware store. It offers a gift, household, card, seasonal, and of course your expected hardware store type items. Prices are reasonable in general, but if you the lowest possible price and largest selection, this may not be for you. If you are looking for nostalgia, you have stepped back in time here!
