Back in the early 1960’s , my family used to visit Rousby Hal when it was owned by Captain and Mrs McFadden. Captain McFadden was on the battleship Missouri When Japan surrender to the United States ending the Pacific conflict of WW2. When I was a very young boy Captain McFadden showed me in the famous Japanese surrender photo the location he was standing. My father was a good friend of the Captain and the family would visit them and stay there many times when I was young.
Polly and Robert Wiedmaier are the consummate hosts. This historic estate is extraordinary. In addition to a gorgeous wedding venue, it can also be a place for a crab feast, a fundraiser, a corporate meeting or a family gathering. Bravo, RH!
Had our wedding ceremony and reception all at Rousby Hall with our closest family and friends. Everyone was in awe of the house, yard, views and all things Rousby Hall. We kept getting complimented on how special our wedding was because it was all right there and very laid back/ easy. Choose 8 of your fav people and stay here!!! The fire at night, sunroom in the morning with coffee and the heated pool are such a fun perk! The owners are such helpful people and really make sure the history of the house stays intact.
