What can I say about this hospital? From the very start of my care journey I was treated like an exquisite piece of jewelry. From the nurse,who obviously was off duty, that gave me directions, to the pre- op team, to Dr. Chamouns team in neurosurgery. Dr. Chamoun is, in my opinion, a genius of neurosurgery! I needed to have a very difficult Colloid Cyst removal surgery in the 3rd ventricle, near the middle of my brain. My research for a surgeon made me feel that Dr. Chamoun is very possibly the best Neurosurgeon in the KC area. He was very confident that he could take care of me, which gave me a lot of confidence in him as well. I'm doubtful that i could have found a better surgeon. One of the scariest conversations you can have with a loved one is when they tell you "I've got a growth and need surgery to remove it". Add in that the growth is in the brain, and I had real concerns that I'd maybe had the last conversation with my dad. Dr Chamoun and his team did so well, I wouldn't have been able to tell my dad had been through surgery if I hadn't been told beforehand.
