I'm still in the emergency now at 8am waiting to be seen,I've been here since 1am and there have been 2 other patients come and go but yet Im still sitting here in pain waiting to be seen ! Not good enough Rotorua hospital ! Even your sign says 6 hr wait

While on holiday in NZ, I had an accident and broke my neck. Terrifying at the best of times. As an Aussie in a different country facing surgery, I was very scared. The staff at Rotorua hospital were so very kind. I spent a week on the orthopaedic ward, and I was treated with respect and care. Thank you is not enough to express my gratitude to you all.

I was recently an inpatient at Rotorua hospital after having a left hip replacement. (30th May) I 'm giving a 1 star rating as the care in the ward had much to be desired. No offers of a wet flannel, No towels in the bathroom. (I shouldn't have to ask for this) No offers for a shower. Very noisy during the night A very brief visit with physio, to step up a couple steps. No advise for exercise, no referral for further physio once discharged. Unbelievable service from Rotorua Hospital. The staff are AMAZING. Friendly, welcoming, understanding and really helpful. The buildings themselves are beautiful and clean. A day trip for a spa visit turned into an overnighter for my sister and the staff made us feel very welcome. Can’t thank them enough
