Fantastic! – I went one time to the Roti in SF and had such a fantastic meal that I decided to try the one cuz it's closer to my home - and was not disappointed!!! My husband is Bengali and he loves the food there (better than his Mom's, but he'll never admit that!) Now we have a new place to go to take our out-of-town guests!! Great place, fantastic food!!

Gourmet Indian/Nice family owned place – Goat naan, biryiani, etc. Chef is Nepalese. Really get distinctive and unique flavors in all dishes. Very high end Indian. This is what the middle & upper classes eat in India. Not the street food that passes for Gourmet Indian food in most of the local restaurants (except for Gaylord and Amber).

Ok. This is one of my FAVORITE Indian places. If you're looking for traditional down home Indian though - this is NOT your place. If you love gourmet food, and the subtle nuances a chef can create while balancing spice with the flavor of the main ingedients - this most definately IS your place. Traditional recipes and spices, with fresh, almost always organic ingredients, and the subtley only a brilliant chef can bring. A great atmosphere, and wonderful staff makes this place great for a date night or conversations with frie... read more

TOO SALTY – The vegie samosas was really good. But then came the main courses. All of them where REALLY salty. The "fish of the day" was not fresh but fishy tasting. The sauces on the food - korma - was tasty. The breads were good but some were over cooked - burned. Service was ok to poor. The food was so salty we needed more water and the waitress never came to refill the glasses. I won't go back for the price it isn't worth it.

THEE best restaurant experience I have ever had!! – The food is excellent, the prices are incredibly reasonable, the atmosphere is perfect, and to top it off, the staff is great. We ordered 2 appetisers and one entree, along with naan bread and basmati rice. There was definitely enough food for 2 people. For starter we had veg samosa, and chicken tenders in a spicy coating - delicious!! We then shared chicken tikka which was by far the best chicken tikka I have ever had. One waiter had asked us if this was our first time to ... read more

Great Indian Bistro – Great food and Atmosphere. I went to India in 05 and was craving some of the dishes that I ate while there and this place came through. I highly recommend this place. It would be great for a date or a gathering of 6. I will definitely return.

great food, service, location parking is easy near downtown burlingame. the food is great. the owner is very nice. they have a variety of naan. i've seen garlic and reuglar before but here they have few of them. i don't remember their menu but probably they have a dozen different kinds of bread. i've yet to taste a better makhani or tikka sauce. indian food is my favorite food and i've been to many indian restaurants in bay area and roti and amber of india (mountain view location) are the best here. PROS: best paneer makhani... read more
