After reading the negative reviews, I felt compelled to post a review. I am an RN and chose Dr. Rothman over countless other Pediatric Neurologists in the area. I agree that on initial contact, people may misinterpret his "bedside manner". The doctor is super focused on the child and parents are often frazzled when they need to take their child to him. He is a brilliant clinician and after nearly 20 years with him, I am unable to find an adult Neurologist that comes close to mirroring his ability! Those who complain about wa... read more
We took our 6-year old son today to see Dr. Rothman for migraine headaches. Dr. Rothman was excellent, he was thorough and compassionate. I would recommend him.
My experience with Dr Rotham was inexcusable and heartless. For one i get his office and no receptionist. My granddaughters records are left out for the public to see. Then Dr. Rotham calls me in his office and throws me nd 15 month out his office because my granddaughter was constipated. The crying upset him and he told me leave his office with my granddaughter. He is a heartless coward who should not be practicing medicine especially with your children involved.
Dr. Rothman does not listen. RE: progress our small child has made since our last visit, Dr. Rothman either forgot what we had just told him or never heard us at all. His assessment of our child's delays was based on absence of skills that we had just told him were consistent and present in our child. How can you trust his opinion and assessment when you can't trust that he is listening to you? His bedside manner is terrible, he is aloof, arrogant, and condescending. Find someone else.
Dr. Rothman spends alot of time reviewing the patient's medical history during appointments. He is brief in his examinations. He is also repetitive and seems to be focused on recommending unnecessary medical procedures to bill state insurance companies.
I would strongly recommend Dr. Rothman to other patients. He is extremely knowledgeable , caring and proactive. Unlike many other medical professionals today, Dr. Rothman spends quality time with each patient and leaves no stone unturned. My daughter has been a patient of Dr Rothmans for 12 years. This man knows his stuff!!! We have complete faith and confidence in him. Unlike many other medical professionals, Dr Rothman is accessible and you can get in to see him when necessary. THE BEST!!!!!!
The Doctor purposefully makes you wait in the exam room while he talks on his phone and to this receptionist.
Absolutely horrible. Ask any questions and he is rude and condescending. Thinks only of taking your money and shoving pills down your throat rather than helping you!!! No compassion what so ever! A disgusting person!
