My wife had an appointment at this location. When we arrived, the front desk told us she couldn’t be seen because she’s three months pregnant and needed to see an OB instead. I understood that, but when I politely asked for help getting a referral, the front desk staff were rude and dismissive. One of them spoke with attitude, told us to “call ourselves,” and raised her tone when my wife asked her to repeat what she said — all while our child was present. This was second time at NYU Langone. Each time has been an amazing experience. Last month I saw Dr. Daniel J Sherwood, MD. He had amazing bed side manner, he was knowledgeable and very kind. He made me feel comfortable about my situation and helped ease some anxiety. The front desk staff, nurses and techs were all equally as kind and helpful. I went in for a consultation to have my neck condition evaluated. This was a satisfactory experience. However the reason for the low rating in my review is that while at their office, I paid my copayment and was adamant about finding out if there would be any additional charges as I would rather know upfront and settle it in person. They assured me that there wasn't. Weeks later I receive a bill from them which was frustrating. It's like they can just make up a number and ask you for it.
