I went here as a child with severe ADHD. My parents needed help and Dr. Tatum was their support. He encouraged me heavily to get on medication, which I tried initially and had bad experiences with. I started to push back (as a child of about eleven) and felt that my opinion was largely ignored. I felt continually infantilized there and that Dr. Tatum's opinion mattered more than my own. Dr Ross Tatum is one of the best and most conscientious child psychiatrists I have known. He cares deeply for his patients and continues to learn about the most recent psychiatric treatments to provide to patients. His care has saved lives.

I would strongly advise AGAINST seeking care from Dr. Tatum. My experience with this doctor has been deeply troubling. A family member, a recovering addict, was prescribed multiple controlled substances (four to be exact), including two medications that were quickly increased to high doses. These were medications that had rarely, if ever, been prescribed in the years I’ve known them. If Dr. Tatum had reviewed the patient's history or checked the PDMP, he would have seen that these medications had not been part of the patient... read more
