I did not find Dr Halpern very professional or helpful. While his staff was personable and friendly, Dr. Halpern had trouble maintaining eye contact with me. I had to ask Dr. Halpern for my test results as they were not voluntarily shared with me or my therapist. Additionally, many of the details in my file were incorrect after the extensive testing process. When I inquired about this, I was told that they were “typos.” They were never corrected.

I have a diagnosed chronic illness, but rather than take that into consideration when analyzing my tests, he diagnosed me as hysterical. When I requested a meeting to have him reevaluate this determination based on my actual medical records, he declined to return my call. Although this next bit may seem petty, his report was typed on an actual typewriter, not a computer. I was told that he refuses to personally use computers. Humiliated in Michigan

Everyone was very nice at this visit. I found the 560 some odd questions invasive and tiring. Doctor comes in for a few minutes, asks a few questions and then wants me to go to counseling and the "mind body" connection class. He had no contact with any of my doctors. I doubt he has any idea what I'm going through medically. I feel humiliated.

My visit with Mr. Halpern consisted of being locked in a room, taking a test that consisted of questions, like, "Do you see dead people", and "Do you believe aliens have visited us"? It was absolutely absurd! After all that, I actually talked to the man for less than 5 minutes, before he then referred me to some other quack. And despite being told insurance would pay for it, I got another $200 bill on top of it. And he never followed up. I was referred for pain relief. What a crock!
