Dishonest tipping practices and terrible service! My family and friends wanted to support a downtown business for breakfast, but we left feeling completely ripped off. While the food portion and quality clould be justified by the price per order, the service and hidden fees were unacceptable. They sneaked an undisclosed 18% automatic gratuity onto the bill (which I only noticed after examining the bill closer once we left the place), and then the payment terminal prompted for a tip again at 15%, 18%, and 20%. Disappointing business practice. They add automatically add 18% “service tip” onto your bill without informing you. Then they also prompt you to add 18, 22, or 25% tip when paying. This is a counter-service restaurant. No servers. I don’t mind tipping but I feel tricked into tipping 40%. Just be honest.
Out-of-towner here. I put my faith in Google reviews, and they did not disappoint! Grabbed a fantastic club sammy on our way to the AGA. Give yourself plenty of time at lunch. Apparently, Edmonton has two seasons: construction and waiting for a sandwich. 😂 Bonus: you’ll leave smelling like a fried donut. Not sure if that’s a selling point or a warning, but I’m choosing to embrace it. 🍩
Worst ever meal. White food and expensive. Even the cheap sausage at the grocery store taste better. If you want to overpay for bad white food come here.
