Took my child there for lesson from groupon, and was exteremely disappointed with the filth and unwelcome site of the facility, but my son was too excited to change mind. Seemed like a good teacher, was patient and thorough. Wont be returning because the place was not in good repair to have a child on a horse there. Would not recommend facility. Also, it appeared that the horses were extremely underweight which even upset my child.
I personally was looking for a dressage teacher; not a barn, not a horse to purchase, etc. I HAVE FOUND just that Instructor at Rosehill Farm. I used a Groupon deal, along with others, as a tool to find a teacher I could relate to and respect for riding knowledge and teaching skills. And, I wanted a teacher to instruct, not coddle me. During a lesson, ALL my questions are addressed and I am taught the hows and whys of each riding movement/technique. The instructor is patient and willing to help me in any way during the learn... read more
Pay attentionnn retartss – Hey when you physically ride there and know what goes on, you won't want to leave this barn. The people here are great. Great horses to learn and train on. Wonderful trainer, she knows more than most teachers actually know (if you want to make it anywhere in the riding area). Yes she does rescue horses so some appear thin.. but those are rescue horses and it takes time for them to develop. If you come out here and want to take lessons you will get more hands on and lots of info. for your money. It'... read more
Best lessons for the Money – Rosehill Farm is a very friendly place. The people there are great. The facilty isn't the best, but the lessons are good and the instructor knows what she's talking about. There are some underweight horses, but the owner also rescues and rehabilitates horses. In my opinion this place is the best for the price of the lessons in the area.
Two Way Street – I bought my new hunter from this place. I was assured that (well let's just give her a fake name to protect her and myself) "Lilac" was a great horse, spook proof, was great for someone like me, that we totally matched up. I came into the situation knowing that Lilac had some major setbacks, and I should have probably bought another horse I know. She's a six year old greenie but she's sweeter than sugar. I wouldn't recommend to anyone else getting a horse from here. Especially if you're doing Hunter/Jumper. ... read more
The trainer at Rosehill farm is a very good teacher. She is very strict but she knows what she is talking about. She knows alot about horses and is great in what she does.
negative – facility not clean, trainer is rude, horses treated badly, horses fed according to their likes, horses don't get their hay paid for by owner!
