⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rose and Crown After riding all day in the rain, we arrived at our hotel tired and hungry, only to discover the Rose & Crown connected to the property. What a fantastic surprise! We ate on a Wednesday evening and had a wonderful server named John. We had a couple of mixed drinks that arrived promptly and ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. Actually, they were the best I’ve ever had.They were large, properly coated and the accompanying sauce, greens, cheese and corn were good enough to eat on their own. Always a great place. Bartenders make reasonably strong cocktails.
Tuesday at 6:45. Not very busy. Stood at the hostess desk for 15 minutes. Customers at the bar and tables noticed me. Waitress and bartender were three feet away but ignored me. The sign said “Please wait to be seated.” but after 15 minutes I walked out.
