Roppongi Robata & Sushi nails it on every level. The open kitchen gives you that front-row seat to the craft, and you can really feel the energy and precision of the chefs. The omakase was a journey - seasonal, delicate, and full of surprises. The Japanese barbecue skewers were the highlight for me - charcoal-grilled, full of flavor, you can tell they take the robata technique seriously. Very unassuming from the outside. This place has fantastic service and excellent sushi. And I'll say that I never in a million years would have thought that I would have one of the best sushi experiences in New York on Staten Island. - Their ramen is good but really their sushi is the star. If they have uni on hand make sure you get it. That wasabi martini is absolutely killer. One of my favorite drinks that I've had since I've been back in New York
